Conducting Witness Interviews, Managing the Uncooperative Witness, and Assessing Witness Credibility
Once you have determined the scope and breadth of your intra-corporate investigation, it’s time to begin interviews. As an investigator, how can you ensure that you are extracting credible information from your interviewees? This program will introduce attendees to the basics of conducting witness interviews, utilizing time-tested methods of eliciting truthful responses
from interviewees based on tactics adopted from the legal field and law enforcement. During the information-gathering process, and especially once it is complete, an investigator must carefully assess witness credibility to best understand the reported events and make appropriate and effective recommendations regarding outcomes.
Christina Hynes Mesco, The Prinz Law Firm, will instruct attendees in methods of evaluating testimony for credibility purposes. This webinar will benefit HR personnel, in-house and general counsel, external personnel who regularly conduct investigations, and anyone else involved in determining who did what at work.
