Chamber Day also known as “Lobby Day” is an advocacy event aimed at ensuring the voices of Illinois employers are recognized in significant policy discussions. The primary objective of Chamber Day is to engage in meaningful discussions about critical issues and to stay informed on public policies that are currently affecting employers and under consideration by the legislature. This event is organized by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE).

Harley T. Johnson is the Executive Director and CEO of the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park, and a Founder Professor in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering. He also holds a courtesy appointment as Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and affiliate appointments in the Materials Research Lab (MRL) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Professor Johnson is Director and PI of the Illinois NSF Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (I-MRSEC), based at MRL.
