More and more employees are dealing with addiction issues due to the opioid addiction crisis. Employees struggle with the conflicts of wanting to help an employee as well as minimizing risk to the company. Similarly, school shootings are in the news regularly and can bring to the forefront, the potential threat for violence and firearms in the workplace. They also must deal with the consequences for not taking all positive steps to minimize such risks.
