Small business — firms with fewer than 500 employees — drive the U.S. economy by providing jobs for over half of the nation’s private workforce. Small businesses are job creators and they represent 99.7 percent of all firms, they create more than half of the private non-farm gross domestic product, and they create 60 to 80 percent of the net new jobs.
The Illinois Chamber’s Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council is dedicated to working with small businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-up companies to help these businesses grow, connect with other business leaders, and have access to the Chamber’s staff and trusted resources to help their business grow and prosper.
The council has a lot to offer businesses throughout Illinois. It begins with a look at the legislative issues in Springfield and Washington D.C. and the impact it has on your bottom line, and how you can shape public policy and make a difference in the business climate in our state.
We also have a comprehensive portfolio of educational programs we call webinars, seminars and conferences – covering marketing, human resources, information technology, finance, and more – that provide you with new and innovative ideas, strategies and practical tools to take back and implement in your business.
Participation on the council is available to all Illinois Chamber members in good standing. If you are interested in joining, please contact Amy Tripp at 312-983-7123 or email@example.com.
