Over the last several months, fixing America’s crumbling infrastructure has become the talk of the town with goals of investing $1 trillion being tossed around. Illinois voters in particular showed they understand the stark realities about the state of our infrastructure when they overwhelmingly supported an amendment to the state’s constitution protecting public transportation revenue. They have seen firsthand how declining investments have undermined the health of our transportation network, leading to crumbling roads and bridges.
