Understanding, Managing and Complying with the ADA(AA)’s Interactive Process
As an employer, understanding and navigating the ADA and the requirement to reasonably accommodate disabled employees can be quite difficult. Since the amendments to the ADA, this has become even more important for employers to handle appropriately. This webinar will discuss what an employer’s responsibilities are and what they are not in the interactive process. We will discuss a number of typical requested accommodations, such as unpaid leave, part-time work, work at home, and reassignment, to name a few. Additionally, we will discuss what does and does not create an undue hardship on an employer that would relieve the responsibility to accommodate. We will also discuss briefly how FMLA and Worker’s Comp issues play into the mix – as they often do.
