Taught by Attorney Jeffrey Risch – Register

With increasingly hostile government scrutiny, employers of all sizes and shapes must thoroughly review, update and likely revise most of their existing personnel policies.  From attendance policies to whistleblowing protocols, and everything in between, the stakes are too high to sit back and rest on policies and procedures that haven’t been updated in years or even months.

What was “okay” in 2012 may not be so in 2013 and beyond according to the current US Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board and the numerous local, state and federal administrative agencies and courts throughout the United States.

This live seminar will provide attendees with a thorough summary of recent case law and administrative agency guidance that employers must recognize in reviewing and revising existing employee related policies.  This live seminar will also offer participants a sampling of virtually every major employment related policy for review and discussion including but not limited to: Employment-at-will disclaimers l Harassment & EEO protocols l Wage/Hour policies l Time and attendance systems l  FMLA and personnel leave policiesl Whistleblowing standardsl Workplace search and workplace violence protocolsl Disciplinary procedures l Social media policies l Confidentiality standards l and Drug & alcohol testing protocols
