Attorneys from Sandberg Phoenix, authors of the latest Illinois Chamber of Commerce publication, FMLA, ADA, Military and Other Leave, discuss what employers need to know about military leave. As more military men and women continue to return to employment following their service in the Armed Forces, it is imperative that employers large and small understand their obligations to active and reserve members of the Armed Forces. This program will discuss an employer’s obligations to employee service members, including reemployment rights and extension of benefit obligations under USERRA. Further, the program will explore the additional obligations for Illinois employers including job restoration rights to candidates with a job offer and the extension of leave benefits for military family members employed by smaller employers.
