The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is sponsoring the Nigeria Railway Modernization Reverse Trade Mission (RTM), which will introduce high-level representatives from Nigeria’s rail sector to state-of-the-art U.S. technologies, equipment and services – as well as policies, regulations and financing mechanisms – that can support the implementation of rail modernization projects in Nigeria.
The Business Briefing will provide U.S. companies with an opportunity to connect directly with senior representatives from:
• Ministry of Transport
• Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC)
• Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment
• Bureau of Public Enterprises
• Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
• Total Support Energy Group
• Connect Rail Services
• Inland Containers Nigeria Limited

The Nigeria Railway Modernization Business Briefing provides a valuable market opportunity for U.S. companies to gain access to leaders from Nigeria’s rail sector at a critical phase of its development. During the event, delegates will present market, project development and procurement opportunities. Following their presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with members of the delegation. Sponsorship opportunities are available for companies interested in increased visibility.
The Government of Nigeria is currently seeking to expand investments in the rail sector that focus on the rehabilitation and modernization of existing rail line, expanding main lines in key corridors, and revitalizing currently defunct freight and passenger services. To this end, the RTM delegates will focus on critical elements of a modern, safe, efficient, and profitable freight and passenger rail infrastructure.
