The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 (MHPAEA) was enacted to
supplement the Mental Health Parity Act of 1996 (MHPA), extending parity protections in the application of annual and aggregate lifetime dollar limits to substance abuse benefits, in addition to mental benefits.
MHPAEA brings new requirements for group health plans by amending ERISA, the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, and the Code of Federal Regulations with parallel provisions. This webinar will provide an understanding of the Interim Final Rule, to aid group health plans in the compliance with these requirements.
