Description: Civil Procedure Venue Reform
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure.  Removes that an action may be commenced in any county if all defendants are nonresidents of the state and makes the change that if no defendants are residents of the state then an action can only take place in the county where the transaction or some part of the cause of action took place.   If no defendants of a motion are residents of this State, and the transaction out of which the cause of action arose did not occur in this state, the action must be dismissed for lack of proper venue.

Description: Premises Liability
Re-enacts and changes provisions of the Premises Liability Act that were added by P.A. 89-7.  Re-enacted provisions describe the duty of reasonable care owed to invited entrants by an owner or occupier of premises and provide that an owner or occupier of land owes no duty of care to an adult trespasser other than to refrain from willful and wanton conduct that would endanger the safety of a known trespasser from a condition of the property or an activity conducted on the property.
