Recommended Investment Schedule
The following is the recommended investment schedule for the annual support of the mission, advocacy and services of the Illinois Chamber:
Sustaining Membership: $365 - $2,500
Benefits of Sustaining Membership Include:
- Opportunity to make your business and public policy concerns known to others: working with other business people with similar needs and concerns to focus attention and achieve results
- Access to and discounts on products, services and publications to improve your business
- Full-time advocacy at both the state and federal level to promote a pro-business agenda and defeat anti-business rules, regulations and legislation
- Direct access to informed professional staff with issue expertise in environmental law, taxation, human resources and government affairs
- Access to business issue hotlines (HR Helpline, Small Business Tax Hotline) for quick, accurate answers to everyday business problems
- Timely electronic updates on legislation, regulatory issues and business topics with Exec Report
- Timely electronic updates on human resource issues, including changes or court actions affecting Illinois and federal employment law with the HR Exec
- Access to as much as $5000 to implement a drug testing program for eligible businesses as a part of our Drug Free Illinois Workplace Program
- Opportunities to attend workshops, conferences, seminars, meetings and programs to network with business people, opinion leaders and public policy decision makers
- Grassroots action alerts when urgent matters of public policy concerning business is pending before the Illinois General Assembly
- Option to receive the electronic Government Affairs Report on request

Special Membership Opportunities Based on Additional Annual Investment
Issue Advocate: $2,501 - $9,999
In addition to the benefits provided to Sustaining Members shown above, Issue Advocates benefit from:
- Invitation to participate in the Government Affairs Council. The Government Affairs Council is tailor-made for professional government affairs personnel, as well as, government and public affairs consultants.
- Opportunity to participate as an active member of one of the Chamber’s Business Issue Councils. Council members participate in developing and recommending policy statements for adoption by the Board of Directors. Council members receive special electronic newsletters and bulletins devoted to the subject matter (Employment Law Council, Tax Institute, etc.)
- Frequent Government Affairs Report emails sent during legislative session and periodically as issues warrant
- End of session legislative report
- Legislative and grassroots action alerts
- Pre-election biennial legislative report card on legislators' voting records
- Invitations to participate in government affairs briefings, programs and legislative coalition activities
- Notice of state level appointment opportunities and, when appropriate, assistance with securing appointments
- Staff consultation and personal assistance with legislative or governmental advocacy on behalf of your business or industry
Policy Advocate: $10,000 - $24,999
In addition to the benefits provided Sustaining Members and Issue Advocates shown above, Policy Advocate benefits include:
- Sponsorship and participation on more than one Business Issue Council - Council members participate in developing and recommending policy statements for adoption by the Board of Directors
- Business Issue Council web pages with council members only access
- Special meetings, events, seminars, presentations and& forums dedicated to council issues
- Unique networking opportunities with subject matter experts and peers
- Subject matter expertise to help direct legislative, regulatory, legal and governmental actions
- Opportunities to sponsor, present and host special programs; the Illinois Chamber will work with the company to find opportunities to satisfy the member’s public relations, visibility, promotion and marketing needs
Chairman's Council: $25,000 +
In addition to the aforementioned benefits that accrue to members in other membership categories, Chairman’s Council members receive:
- Recognition and link on the Chamber web site
- Recognition and signage at Chamber events
- Preferred seating at Chamber events
- Invitations to special programs and events with business executives, political leaders & foreign dignitaries
- Opportunities to present and market special programs, goods or services
- Networking with Illinois’ senior business executives
- Invitation to VIP events hosted by the Chairman
- Satisfaction, recognition and prestige: members of the Chairman’s Council provide leadership and critical financial support to ensure business' perspective and voice are effectively represented in public policy debates that affect Illinois business.

Dues to the Illinois Chamber are based on the organization’s actual receipts for normal operations and activities for the last fiscal year, or on budgeted receipts for the current fiscal year, whichever is lower.
